Scottish not Scotch!

This might seem like a pet peeve, but please, to those of you who hail from outside Scotland, can you call us by the right name? Don't call us Scotch; that refers to whisky or food products like Scotch egg or Scotch broth. Admittedly, the word Scotch was in common use a few centuries ago but has very much fallen out of favour. So what's the correct term? Simply Scottish or Scots will do, thank you very much.
